Last full week of 5th Grade! May 17-21.

I can’t believe this is our last full week as a 5th grade class. It has been such a great year and this week is going to be the cherry on top.

Monday: iReady Math Diagnostic.
We will continue to work on our state projects with the effort to finish them by Thursday. We will get some iReady lesson time in reading and review our scores from last week’s diagnostic. In Social Studies, we will start an activity about the 10 amendments. We will begin our iReady Math Diagnostic and work for 1 hour. We will end the day with reviewing what we learned about the rock cycle in Science.

We will continue our 10 amendment activity. We will work until we finish our iReady Math diagnostic. We will end the day with a Generation Genius in Science to celebrate all of our major assessments being complete.

We will tour the states by having a gallery walk of all the different research projects we completed. We will have some presenters go into even more detail about their state and the research project they completed. We will reflect on the research process before reading our class read aloud, “The Unteachables”. In Social Studies, we will watch an episode of Liberty Kids. We will play some Math games and get some iReady lesson time in Math before ending the day with Science. In Science, we will work to complete our activities about the different phases of the moon.
