Week of May 3-7.

Happy May! I can’t believe we are in our last month as a 5th grade class. We have a busy month with testing and wrapping up the school year, but we have the excitement of graduation to look forward to. This week’s main focus will be testing. Just a reminder that tutoring for the year is complete!

Monday: FSA Reading Day. (Day 1)
Please come to school well-rested, well-fed and ready to try your best. We will spend our morning focusing on completing our Reading FSA Section 1. After testing, we will wind down with some learning activities in the afternoon.

Tuesday: FSA Reading Day. (Day 2).
Again, put your best foot forward and bring your best self to school so you can rock the FSA Reading. We will spend the morning completing Reading FSA Section 2. After testing, we will wind down with some learning activities and by practicing Math.

Wednesday: NO TESTING TODAY.
We will spend the morning reading as a class and playing a reading learning game to celebrate our achievement of completing FSA Reading. We will read “The Unteachables”. We will try out a Generation Genius in Math and then end the day with a Health lesson.

Thursday: FSA Math (Day 1).
We will spend the morning completing FSA Math. Please come to school well-rested and well-fed so that your brain is ready to rock the FSA Math Day 1. We will spend the rest of the afternoon creating a STEM project and doing other learning activities.

Friday: FSA Math (Day 2).
Last day of the week! We will spend the morning taking our FSA Math Section 2. We will end the day by finishing our STEM projects, discussing our last state exam in Science, and doing other learning activities.
