Week of April 5- April 9.

Welcome back! I can’t believe we are in April as a 5th grade class.

Monday:
**Reminder- Tutoring Today until 4:30 PM*
In reading, we will practice on iReady to get our minutes in. We will spend time talking about the writing process and viewing prompts. We will also practice skills on IXL. In Social Studies, we will get project work time. In Math, we will practice on iReady and keep practicing with fractions. We will end the day with Science where we will talk about our state exam for Science!
Homework: Math Worksheet.

Tuesday:
We will spend our morning in ELA doing one last “Mock FSA” run through where we get 2 hours to read, plan, and write for our essay. When we return from lunch, we will talk about our experience and any last questions we have. We will continue to have project work time for Social Studies. In Math, we will work with fractions as a class and independently. We will end the day with Science where we will continue to review for our state exam.

Wednesday:
**Early Release @ 1:30.**
We will spend our morning in ELA doing a reading lesson with a short story. We will ask any final questions we may have about the Writing FSA. We will also have time to practice on iReady. In Math, we will continue to work with fractions, mixed numbers, and practice simplifying! We will spend our time in Health setting goals for the FSA writing exam.

Thursday:
**FSA Writing Day**
We will spend our morning focusing on our FSA Writing. In the afternoon, we will get Social Studies project work time. We will play some Math games and we will end the day with Science where we will watch a video!

Friday:
We will spend our morning discussing our experience as writers on the FSA before doing a fun reading lesson to wrap up the week. We will get time to hear our class read aloud, “Tiger Rising.” We will have our last project work time in Social Studies before turning in our projects on Monday. We will have a fraction review day where we work in groups to review multiplying fractions with simplifying and creating mixed numbers out of improper fractions. We will end the day with a Science activity.
