Week of March 22-March 26!

Welcome back! I hope everyone had a lovely break and I am excited to be back. We are in the final homestretch of the year!

Monday:
*Tutoring: 4:30 PM*
We will spend time Monday in ELA doing iReady, talking about informative essays, and reading about influential women to continue our discussion about Women’s History Month. We will watch an episode of Liberty Kids before starting our next chapter of Social Studies. In Math, we will practice working with mixed numbers. We will work on reducing, adding, and subtracting! We will also get time on iReady for Math. We will end the day finally getting to get into our textbooks for Science.
Homework: Read 20 minutes and log it.

Tuesday:
We will spend ELA getting our next topic for writing and reading about a powerful woman. We will write informative essays on different types of rocks. In Social Studies, we will continue to read about the Revolutionary War. During Math, we will continue to add and subtract mixed numbers. We will end the day continuing to talk about different plant systems.
Homework: Read 20 minutes and log it.

Wednesday:
*Reminder: Early Release at 1:30*
In both Math and Reading, we will spend time practicing on iReady. We will continue to work on researching women that have made history for Women’s History Month. We will begin writing our next essay which will be an informative essay about different types of rocks. In Math, we will continue to practice subtracting mixed numbers as well as reducing fractions. We will end the day with Health.
Homework: Read 20 minutes and log it.

Thursday:
*Reminder: Tutoring until 4:30 PM!*
We will continue to draft our informative essays and pace ourselves to finish them! We will continue to practice our reading skills as we read biographies and informational text about the lives of historic women. In Social Studies, we will continue to read our chapter about the Revolutionary Wars and work within our textbook. We will review adding and subtracting mixed numbers in Math to prepare for a test on Friday. We will end the day finishing reading the lesson in Science that we started on Tuesday!

Friday!
In reading, we will finish reflecting on our essays as well as revise and edit anything that we want to change. We will wrap up our topic of Women’s History month and talk about the things we gained from learning about it. We will also get time to read our read aloud, “A Tiger Rising”. In Social Studies, we will do Savvas activities to reflect on the learning we did in the textbook. We will get plenty of time in Math to take our math quiz about fractions and mixed numbers. We will end the day by completing some Savvas activities about our first chapter in Science.
