Week of March 8-March 11!

Monday:
*Reminder- Tutoring until 4:30 PM!*
Welcome back! It is our last week before Spring Break! Today in reading, we will talk about Women’s History Month. We will get information about the background and start to discuss influential women. We will talk about strong persuasive essays as a class and get some iReady time. In Social Studies, we will continue to talk about the battles of the American Revolution using our textbooks. In Math, we will talk about improper fractions and mixed numbers and get some iReady time. We will end the day with talking about our next unit for Science, the human body.

Tuesday:
In reading, we will continue to research about influential women using informational texts. We will as a class edit an argumentative essay to practice revisions. In Social Studies, we will do some Savvas activities to finish up our chapter about the battles of the American Revolution War. We will continue to work with mixed numbers and fractions in Math before we end the day exploring the human and plant systems.

Wednesday:
*Reminder early release at 1:30 PM!*
We will spend time in both subjects today practicing on iReady. In Reading, we will continue to discuss influential women and Women’s History Month. In Math, we will work on adding mixed numbers and changing improper fractions into mixed numbers. We will end the day talking about emotions in Health.

Thursday:
**Reminder- Tutoring until 4:30 PM!**
We will spend this time wrapping up our topics before our Spring Break! We will have a discussion and do some activities to finish discussing Women’s History Month. We will discuss the next type of essays that we will practice. We will spend time watching Liberty Kids in Social Studies. To celebrate how far we have come this year, we will watch a movie to end our day!

Friday- NO SCHOOL!
